A study on geology and geophysical analysis of groundwater potential zone was conducted in Cipada, West Java, Indonesia. The study area covered 25km with latitude from 6 46 16 S to 6 48 57 S and longitude fi'0m 107 30 17 E to 107 30 17 E. The geological map of Cipada has been produced and updated by using method of Geographical Information System (GIS) with the scale of 1:25000. Based on geological mapping, Cipada area consists of volcanic rocks such as Breccia tuff, Lapilli tuff, andesite lava, Laharic andesite and Pumiceous tuff. They has been analysed petrographically to determine their mineral compositions. For geophysical analysis, four lines of 620m of electrical resistivity has been arrayed at the study area by applying a Schlumberger electrical configuration method. The obtained data were
then interpreted by using RES2DINV software to determine the groundwater potential
zone in Cipada area.
