Abstract

This study is about the geology and delineation of groundwater potential in the area of Kuala Betis Gua Musang by using remote sensing and GIS. The purpose of this study was to produce a geological map of scale 1:25 000. At the same time, the purpose of this study is to identify the factors for the process of delineation groundwater potential and to produce a map of groundwater potential for the study area at Kuala Betis Gua Musang. The geological study of the Kuala Betis Gua Musang area was conducted by fieldwork. Geological structure data and rock lithology are taken during fieldwork. All data collected during fieldwork are included in the map to be used as a geological map of the Kuala Betis Gua Musang area at a scale of 1:25 000. Map of groundwater potential at Kuala Betis Gua Musang is done by obtaining all required parameters such as slope map, drainage map, lineament density map, geomorphological map and land use map. All parameters are combined with the weightage given for each parameter to complete the making process map of groundwater potential. The software used to perform groundwater potential process by using remote sensing method and GIS is ArcGIS 10.2 software.
