Abstract

Medical treatment is one of humanity's most basic needs, and it necessitates high-quality, intensive care. Aside from the developed world, a few developing countries are becoming important medical tourism destinations. Malaysia is one of the world's top four medical tourism centers that provide numerous medical services, such as cardiac surgery, organ transplantation, cosmetic surgery, dental care, and health screening. However, little attention is paid to medical tourism compared to its contribution. The purpose of the research is to find the factors affecting the acceptance of medical tourism destination in Kuala Lumpur. The quantitative method being used which is questionnaire through Google Form and 283 respondents completed the questionnaire. The finalize result shown there were significant relationship between technology, management, and environment with the acceptance of medical tourism destination. The most influential factor was from management. Among the three of independent variables, environment recorded the highest correlation coefficient with the acceptance of medical tourism destination. To ensure a successful medical tourism industry, agencies involved must meet or exceed the standards and requirements of medical tourists. Hopefully, the information provided throughout this research might help the related parties to further research on this area of interest.
