The influence of healthy eating in Kota Bharu Kelantan

Healthy eating is an important feature which linked to the goal of improving people’s health. The most crucial part of any diet is maintaining a healthy consumption and balance of foods as healthy foods could contribute to people's physical well-being. Nowadays, modern society is challenged with variety health issues arising from eating. Hence, healthy eating is receiving attention throughout the worldwide. The aim of this research was to identify the influence of healthy eating among Generation Y in Kota Bharu, Kelantan and the influence of healthy eating included knowledge, types of food, willingness to spend and physical appearance. In this research, the method used was quantitative approach to collect data from respondents. The data was collected from 380 respondents among Generation Y in Kota Bharu, Kelantan by using questionnaire distribution through online, which is Google Form. The area of this study was focus among Generation Y in Kota Bharu, Kelantan due to there was lack of this study that conducted in Kota Bharu before especially among Generation Y. Findings based on data analysis indicate that knowledge, types of foods, willingness to spend and physical appearance have significant relationship towards healthy eating while knowledge is the most important influence towards healthy eating among Generation Y in Kota Bharu, Kelantan.
