Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play an important role in the economy for all industrial societies especially, in terms of employment and productivity. It is one of the industrial sectors in Malaysia and is now seen as one of the industries that play an important role in the country's economic growth. The government has provided assistance for citizen involvement in the field of entrepreneurship as a catalyst for the development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The government will also strengthen citizen entrepreneurship to create businesses to become stronger and more competitive industry leaders. The fierce competition between manufacturing companies today puts pressure on every company to find a way to stay competitive. One of the methods to keep the company competitive is to improve the quality and quantity of products produced using automation technology. Automation technology presents new challenges for all sectors in the country that require them to make changes in line with digital transformation in order to remain competitive. In other words, automation technology is seen as a technological capability that does not need to directly involve humans. At the end of this study, the researchers suggest suggestions or solutions for the company to improve based on the problems and causes of the problems that occur.
