Abstract

Tengku Ibrahim diputerakan pada 9 Ogos 1897 di Istana Balai Besar, Kota Bharu.
Sejak kecil, telah dididik dan diasuh dengan sebaik mungkin termasuklah dalam perjaran agama.
Telah berjaya membentuk baginda menjadi seorang yang berperwatakan yang terpuji, menyukai keindahan, cermat dan berdisiplin.
Semasa pemerintahan Sultan Ismail, Tengku Ibrahim telah dilantik sebagai Raja Kelantan pewaris takhta kerajaan kerana Sultan Ismail tidak mempunyai putera atau puteri.
Menaiki takhta kerajaan pada 21 Jin 1944 dan dimahkotakan dengan rasminya pada 31 Oktober 1944 dengan gelaran Sultan Ibrahim.
Istiadat Pertabalan ini telah dilangsungkan di Istana Balai Besar secara besar-besaran dalam istiadat yang penuh gilang gemilang.
Telah melangsungkan perkahwinan dengan YM. Tengku Zainab Abidin pada tahun 1914.
Telah dikurniakan beberapa orang putera dan puteri.
Seorang raja yang aktif dalam aktiviti kemasyarakatn.
Sering membuat lawatan ke jajahan-jajahan bagi melihat keadaan kehidupan rakyat.
Sikap baginda yang prihatin ini membuat baginda disanjung dan disayangi oleh rakyat jelata.
Zaman pemerintahan baginda membawa berbagai perubahan dan kemajuan terutamanya dalam bidang pembangunan tanah, pertanian, perhubungan dan pelajaran.
Bertanggungjawab meningkatkan kesedaran rakyat terhadap harga diri dan menaikkan semangat untuk membebaskankan diri daripada belenggu penjajah.
Pada 19 Julai 1960, baginda telah kembali ke Rahmatullah setelah memerintah selama 16 tahun.
Telah dimakamkan di Makam DiRaja Langgar, Kota Bharu.

Her Highness Tengku Ibrahim was born on 9 August 1897 at Istana Balai Besar, Kota Bharu.
From chilhood, His Highness was regally brought up and well educated especially in religious knowledege.
Successful in moulding His Highness into a person of impeccable character of high repute and one who loved and appreciated beauty was meticulous and a stickler for rules and procedures.
During the reign of Sultan Ismail, His Highness Tengku Ibrahim was appointed Raja Kelantan, the rightful successor to the throne.
Ascended the throne on 21 June 1944 and was officially coroneted on 31 October 1944 with the title Sultan Ibrahim.
The Coronation Ceremony was held on a grand and magnificent scale at Istana Balai Besar, Kota Bharu.
His Highness married Tengku Zainab bt. Tengku Zainal Abidin in 1944 and they were blessed with several sons and daughters.
As a Ruler, His Highness Sultan Ibrahim was very active in social work.
His Highness often paid visit to various District to see the condition of his subjects and how they lived.
Owing to this deep concern and care for his subjects as he was loved and respected by everyone.
His Highness's reign witnessed several changes and progress in the State of Kelantan especially in matters relating to the development of land, agriculture, communication, transport and education.
In addition, His Highness was also responsible for instilling awareness in his subjects on the importance of self-esteem and developing their spirit of patriotism so as to free themselves shackles and colonialism.
His Highness Sultan Ibrahim passed away on 19 July 1960 at Istana Seri Cemerlang, Kota Bharu. His Highness was laid to rest.
