Abstract

In the recent years, volunteer work has developed rapidly and getting more attention among the people. Somehow, there is still lack of participation among youth. This study is to determine lack of time, lack of information, perception of volunteerism and lack of confidence that influence involuntary among youths behaviour. This study will be conducted at Pengkalan Chepa as this area is well know as " education hub'. Population of this study consist of youth in Pengkalan Chepa which are 1040 people and the sample size of this research will be 278 respondents (refer to Krejie & Morgan 1970). Researcher will analyze the data by using the quantitative method and questionaire will be distributed to the respondents. Finally, this study could help NGO organization organize and create a programme that increase their interest to participate in volunteerism .Further research is also recommended to explore more about barriers that hinders youth from paricipating volunteerism activity in Kota Bharu.
