Abstract

The national transformation that has been implemented also involves a transformation in the public service. To remain relevant and responsive to change, civil servants are required to be more dynamic, innovative and think on the level and value of entrepreneurship. The government, consistently through various programs, aims to increase the efficiency of the civil service by encouraging entrepreneur-minded civil servants in managing the organization through innovation, managing risk, assessing cost benefits and contributing to the socio-economic environment. Improvements in service through social innovation has now become the culture in most government agencies. Therefore, this study was undertaken to assess the impact of the social innovation and entrepreneurship practices among civil servants. This study used a quantitative approach and a set of questionnaire was constructed based on the research objectives. A total of 174 civil servants in the Samarahan Division responded from the 210 questionnaires issued.
