Abstract

Inventory is an important element in retail industry, which it considered as one of the expensive cost to handle. Effective inventory management through inventory tracking provide an overview for the owner to devise their strategy for a business model to operate their operation at optimum cost level. This paper will uncover the common issue that associated in retail shop especially with grocery store related to inventory tracking for effectively suggesting possible recommendations to correct present worrisome issues for shop sustainability. The study will evaluate the inventory practice in three distinct mini market in Kelantan. The Interview was used as a research instrument to collect data from respective store manager and workers. Data had been analyzed using quantitative method through keyword and key point. From the research finding, it can be concluded that a computerized inventory management system had helped the mini market to identify their product effectively as well as improving the whole system correlated with it.
